About

Mari

Welcome to my quiet corner in the blogosphere.

I started this blog to help me transition from academia to creative writing and visual storytelling.

I write because I suffer from an existential crisis of being (we all do at one time or another). However, I don’t believe that existence has to be as lonely and absurd. So, I choose to find and give meaning to life’s aspects. And like most writers, I write to be understood, to make human connections and to share with others the beauty and dignity I see in existence: the pain, sorrows and joys of its mundane moments.

Through my blog posts, you’ll find my momentary musing on an aspect of life.  The creative inspiration may take the form of a haiku, poem, short story, video or something entirely different from what I probably imagined.

Regardless, I hope that you find something you enjoy or something that resonates with you.

Also, feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Thanks for visiting 🙂

  1. Your blog is brilliant and I really appreciated your recent feedback on my working draft. However, I don’t think I replied to it correctly so I thought I’d let you know I’ve responded as part of the comments on that post, if you don’t mind having another read?

    1. Thank you very much for such a wonderful, touching comment.

Writing is a purpose, but making connections with others is one of its best rewards 😉

  2. Hey your site’s got beautiful design and such interesting pieces, so I’m following! 🙂

    1. Thank you for stopping by and for reading! It looks like you’ve just started your blogging adventure, and I’m sure it’s an interesting time to get into publishing given the wild west nature of the industry 🙂
